The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

Departure is planned to ensure the aircraft can maintain obstacle and terrain clearance after take-off and during the climb to LSALT Completed |
Evidence:
|
Ceiling minima is increased and/or track is planned to ensure terrain clearance is maintained when required Completed |
Evidence:

Appropriate checklist items are completed and confirmed to ensure the aircraft systems applicable to the instrument take-off are operating correctly Completed |
Evidence:
|
Radios, navigation aids and flight instruments are set to the desired setting prior to initiating the take-off Completed |
Evidence:
|
Track, altitude requirements and emergency procedures are reviewed and briefed for an instrument departure Completed |
Evidence:

Climb to cruising altitude/level after take-off is achieved Completed |
Evidence:

Obstacle and terrain clearance is maintained below LSALT while intercept track is maintained within 5 nm of the departure aerodrome Completed |
Evidence:
|
Transitions from visual meteorological conditions to actual or simulated instrument meteorological conditions are performed without loss of control of the aircraft Completed |
